Masters 2024
Summary
The Masters Tournament in Palm Springs is a NAGVA-sanctioned tournament.
The tournament follows the rules and regulations of NAGVA and LAVO is the organizer and host of the tournament. This tournament is unique compared to most tournaments given that all players must be 35 years of age or older by the tournament date. This is a two-day tournament.
ALL players must be a current member of NAGVA to be eligible to play. Anyone can be a member of NAGVA. The registration process is controlled and handled on NAGVA .
Only payment for the registration fee is collected on the LAVO site. The LAVO site also provides tournament details. The team captain is responsible for rostering all his/her players on NAGVA for the tournament.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID with you to the tournament. Your ID will be verified at registration to make sure your name matches your profile. No ID equals no participation in the tournament.

How to Register
Follow the steps to pay your team fee.
Pay via PayPal form
PayPal shopping cart reflects a 3% processing fee.
Pay via PayPal Direct
- Login to your PayPal Account.
- Click on "Send & Request" tab on top of the page.
- Click on "Send Money to Friends and Family"
- Find treasurer@playlavo.org
- Send your team fee (additional players if possible)
- Include your team name and division in the notes

$425 per team*

$475 per team*

Standard Fee
$525 per team*
- Registration closes 10/12/2024
Additional Player Fee
$65 per additional player
- NAGVA’s new limit is 9 players per team.
*A team consists of 7 (seven) players.

- Teams will be confirmed as they pay, and divisional caps will be changed accordingly.
- The caps shown on this page are subject to change at ANY time.
- Refer to the Rating Details page for more details.
- NAGVA ratings are observed.
Game Format
Tournament Play
- Pool Play – consists of 40 to 45 minute matches; inclusive of a 5-minute warm-up. Two 4-25 point games will be played in each match (27 pt cap).
- Peer-to-Peer referring is required in pool play. Players should hold a NAGVA R1 and a NAGVA Scorekeeper certification. Each team is required to have an R1 and a separate Scorekeeper per NAGVA’s guidelines. Referring or playing teams that are tardy will be penalized as follows:
- 5 min delay will forfeit the first game
- 10 min will forfeit the entire match
- If you’re the referee team, the game forfeits will be accounted for at the end of pool play.
 
Elimination Rounds
- Double elimination schedule.
- USAV R-1s are provided.
- All awards will be presented at each respective site.
 
Medals
- Given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division.
- Five (5) All-Star Awards in each division.
- One (1) MVP Award in each division.
- All awards will be presented at each respective site.
